2001 Rare Set of Three Mira Nakashima Custom Counter Stools in Black Walnut
This is a rare set of three American Black Walnut Counter Stools, designed and created by Mira Nakashima for a client in 2001. The wood for these pieces was specially selected in concert with her client, and they were custom sawn by the artist. The base is reminiscent of the Mira Stool, and the shape of the tops is adopted from the original three-legged Plank table. The wood has a hand-rubbed oil finish, and all three pieces have Mira’s signature on the underside of their seat. The price listed includes all three stools.
Each stool measures 18.5 inches long, 17 inches wide, and 27 inches high. Their leg span is 23.5 inches. The wood has different variations in color and grain, as intended. There is a minor blemish on the underside of one stool. Overall, this important set of stools is in excellent condition. Please see photos.
