1951 LCW Lounge Chairs by Ray and Charles Eames for Herman Miller, Evans Calico Ash, Rubber, Steel
This is an early pair of LCW Lounge Chairs, originally designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1945. The pair was produced circa 1951 by Evans Products Company for Herman Miller. One of the chairs retains its label, and they have the 5-2-5 screw pattern. The chairs are crafted from Calico Ash, and their age has only contributed to their beauty. The wood has become golden from use, and the flowing grain on each chair has become more prominent.
Each chair measures 25.25 inches deep, 20 inches wide, and 26.5 inches high. They have a seat height of 15.38 inches. We have intentionally left these pieces in their original state. The wood has darkened along the edges and there are several scratches and rubs. Overall, this pair of LCW chairs is in good condition with some signs of age apparent. Please see photos.
