Pair 1976 Nicos Zographos Saronis Leather & Oak Lounge Chairs from Hugh Stubbins Library
Listed for sale is a pair of leather and oak Nicos Zographos Saronis lounge chairs from 1976, which came directly from a Hugh Stubbins (Architect) designed Library at a notable ivy-league institution. For context, additional provenance can be disclosed at time of sale. This design was introduced in 1962 as the lounge chair you see here and was soon transformed into a sofa after 1966 (we have the matching sofa available as well). The pieces were originally specified by Hugh Stubbins' firm for the project and were purchased from a university employee. The lounge chairs measure 30 inches tall by 30 inches deep and 30 inches wide. The arm height is 20.5 inches tall. The leather is soft and pliable with very little wear. The wood frames are in very good to excellent condition as well. Overall, these pieces are in nice shape with some light wear and patina. The price listed is for both lounge chairs.
