Listed for sale is an original 1971 Herman Miller Eames lounge chair and ottoman. The set is in great condition for its age and has exquisite brazillian rosewood panels with lovely proper cushions. The Herman Miller label is still present on the chair and is the rectangular, black label. The chair has partial down / partial foam cushions, as is consistent with many transitional chairs made around 1971.
Cushions:
Overall, the cushions are in excellent condition. Armrests show minimal wear. The seat cushion and ottoman are both in great shape and also just show signs of light use/wear. No tears or rips are present on any of the cushions.
Wood:
The rosewood shells are superb. There are no major scratches on the faces that I can see and the finish feels smooth. Please reference photos for condition!
Shock Mounts:
The shock mounts are in great shape and the chair still holds strong.
Bases and Metal
The aluminum bases are in excellent condition. The feet move nicely, paint is all there, and aluminum looks great.
