SOLD 2006 4-Position Credenza Cabinet, Model 2544 by Florence Knoll in Ebonized Oak and Calacatta Marble
This is a '4-Position' Credenza, model 2544, initially designed by Florence Knoll in 1961. This particular example dates to 2006. The piece is constructed of rich ebonized oak, and features a Calacatta marble top. The lines of this piece have become verifiably iconic; so simple, yet incredibly important. The piece is a bit lower in height than one would expect, and therefore it works as well in the dining room as it does in the office.
This credenza measures 74.75 inches wide, 18 inches long, and 25.5 inches high. It's in near mint condition, though it remains a previously-owned piece and may show signs of time and use. This particular example came from a private equity firm owner, who had these in storage for the majority of its time since production. It seems like these were only briefly in an office prior to storage. Please see all photos.
