This is an original LC2 Petit Modele Lounge Chair, designed in 1928 by Le Corbusier and his collaborators, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand. This design is widely considered to be the ultimate triumph of Bauhaus ingenuity, evident in its tubular chromed-steel construction. The aforementioned designers actually referred to these pieces as “household equipment.” This chair was manufactured by Cassina in Italy in 2006.

The price listed includes one LC2 chair. The chair has a width of 29.9 inches, a depth of 27.6 inches, and a height of 26.4 inches. The seat height is 18.9 inches. The frame is properly engraved and serialized. It also has the original paper label underneath. The chair came from an unusual environment. It was purchased by a private investment company for their office, which was then installed briefly and then promptly put into storage for years in a climate controlled facility. As a result, this and the other furniture from the project looked nearly immaculate, like a time capsule from 2006. It is in really delightfully nice condition.
