SOLD Dual-Tone Museum Quality Eames Herman Miller Soft Pad Aluminum Group Chair
Listed for sale is an extremely rare example of an Eames soft pad executive chair in dual tone leather (available as one or a pair). I have never before seen such a time intensive and beautifully made example of these soft pads. The chairs have both a dark natural toned leather as well as black.
Uniquely, all pieces of leather used to make these chairs have been carefully selected and detailed, which was something done specially for this order. Instead of simply using a different type of leather for just the top surfaces, these chairs are much more detailed and coordinated as can be seen in the photos. The leather is extremely supple and has aged beautifully. Aluminum is in lovely shape and labels are still present on the chair. These were custom ordered for an executive board room in the mid 1980's and were clearly very special indeed.

Supple and showing only light signs of use over its life of only a few years.
Bases and Metal
The arms are in excellent condition with no chips present. The clear coat is all still present on the arms. With regard to the other aluminum elements, condition is excellent.
