SOLD 1946 Eames LCW by Charles and Ray Eames for Evans Product Company in Ash Plywood
This is An Eames LCW L:ounge Chair in Calico Ash, dating to 1946, making it one of the earliest production examples on the market. It has the 5-2-5 screw pattern underneath, indicating Evans production. Notably, it also has a clear and dark faded outside of its original label, which is the signifier more specifically of its production date. That was one of the earliest label typologies, prior to the more common rounded rectangle and sharp rectangular Evans labels. This example is in excellent vintage condition with some light wear from use and nice patina. See photos. The hardware appears to be completely original.
This chair measures 27.5 inches tall by 22 inches wide and 25 inches deep. The seat height is 15 inches.
