SOLD Breitling Navitimer Cosmonaute A12023 Limited Edition 1995 Display Back Manual
Up for sale is a Breitling Cosmonaute Serie Speciale (Limited Edition) display back chronograph. This watch is from edition A12023 and is marked A12023.1, with 2886 beneath it. The 2886 presumably implies the production number. This a 24 hour watch, used originally by Scott Carpenter on Aurora 7. After the space mission, Breitling's Cosmonaute became an icon.
The watch features a sapphire crystal display back, which shows off manual wind movement. Every part of the watch functions properly and has maintained great accuracy as well. The back of the watch has the limited edition inscription on it as can be noted in the photos. The condition is very good to excellent. This watch comes with the original breitling band, as is shown in the photos as well.
Movement: The watch uses a manual wind Breitling Calibre 11, based on Lemania's 1873 Movement.
Measurements: The case measures 41.5 mm excluding the crown.
Condition: The watch is in excellent cosmetic condition, with minimal wear. Some light scratches are found around the case, but nothing noticeable.
Service History: I was told by the previous owner that the watch had been recently serviced. While I do not have record or receipt of this, I believe it to be the case.
