1960s Pair of CH28 Lounge Chairs by Nicos Zographos for Zographos Designs Ltd. in Cognac Leather and Stainless
This is a pair of Nicos Zographos CH28 ribbon lounge chairs in caramel leather, produced by Nicos Zographos Designs Inc. in the 1960s. The listed price includes the pair as shown. These examples represent some of the earliest design work from Zographos; The silhouette clearly informed by Mies van der Rohe and other early modernists. Unlike the Barcelona chair, the legs are made of robust solid stainless steel taking a ribbon form, rather than an X. Their design also features a continuous one-piece curved seat.
Each chair measures 29 inches deep, 29 inches wide, and is 28 inches high. They have a seat height of 16 inches. The leather upholstery is not perfect, but remains in good vintage condition with some marks and signs of wear. There are some light scratches and scuffs on the bases. Overall, these pieces are in very good vintage condition. Please see photos.
