1970s CH66 Chairs by Nicos Zographos for General Fireproofing Co. in Cognac Leather
This is a pair of CH66 Side Chairs, designed by Nicos Zographos in 1966. The chairs were produced by the General Fireproofing Company. The frames are formed of tubular chrome-plated steel, and their upholstered seats & backs are done in a thick saddle-brown leather. The price listed includes both chairs.
Each chair is 21 inches deep, 19 inches wide, and 31 inches high. Their seat height is 18.5 inches. The original leather has achieved a warm caramelized tone, but does show some creasing & striation from age. There are myriad spots and scuffs, and there is wear apparent along the edges. The chromed-steel frames show scratches and there is light oxidation to the plating. Overall, these chairs are in good vintage condition with age apparent. Please see photos.
