1990s Egg Lounge Chair and Ottoman by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen in New Cognac Leather
This is an original Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen Egg lounge chair, Model 3316, with accompanying ottoman. Jacobsen designed the chair in 1958, perfecting the shape by experimenting with wire and plaster in his garage. This special piece has been freshly reupholstered in cognac-color full grain Italian leather. The upholstery work was done by one of the most respected shops in the US for these pieces. The chair swivels and rests on a 4-star aluminum base. This particular example dates to the 1990s and has always been leather since new.
This chair has a height of 41 inches, width of 33.9 inches, and depth of 31.1 inches. It has a seat height of 14.6 inches and an arm height of 22.8 inches. The upholstery is fresh and is in excellent condition. The base has been cleaned, but may still show some signs of age. Please see photos.
