1960s Pair of PK31 Easy Lounge Chairs by Poul Kjaerholm for E. Kold Christensen in Black Leather
These are original 1960s examples of the famous PK31 lounge chairs by danish designer Poul Kjaerholm. Kjaerholm is considered one of the most revered designers of the 20th century, known for his meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship. These chairs were purchased through Georg Jensen in New York City and produced by Kold Christensen in Denmark. For a time, Georg Jensen operated a department store, which sold Scandinavian goods of exceptionally high quality. The chairs were freshly reupholstered in high end leather. If the new buyer would prefer a thinner cushion for the seat and back or any adjustments made to the upholstery, we may be able to accommodate that prior to shipping. These pieces were acquired directly from the family of the original owners. They are marked on the steel frames with E. Kold Christensen's logo and are guaranteed as authentic.
Each chair measures 30 inches wide, 30 inches deep, and 30 inches tall. The seat height is 15 inches and arm height is 19 inches.
