SOLD 1960 Vintage Breitling 806 Navitimer Watch! Just Serviced Rice Bead Bezel
Up for auction is an original Breitling 806 Navitimer, which has been freshly serviced (as of one month ago) by a master watchmaker in Fishkill, NY.
This particular example has reference number identifying it as a 1960 example.
This particular watch, as you may notice, has the white subdials, AOPA gilded logo, and luminous hands...which are appropriate for January of 1963 and later.
As this watch was purchased from the original owner, I asked what the story was with it and the owner explained. The watch needed cosmetic work in the mid 1960's and needed hands replaced. It was decided for whatever reason to update the dial and hands. Should you wish to bring this back to the original look, the watch will also come with the earlier dial (as is seen in the later photos).
The watch comes with a Breitling leather band and deployment clasp.
I can take photos of the movement if desired, but did not want to open it unless requested (as it was so recently serviced and don't want dust making its way in).

Movement: The watch uses a manual wind venus 178, original to the watch and in excellent working condition.
