C. 1962 Eames for Herman Miller 622TA Draftsman's Arm Chair Stool in Orange
This is a 622TA Draftsman's arm chair stool, originally designed by Ray and Charles Eames in 1957. This particular example was produced by Herman Miller in the USA. The base is actually an earlier 1960s style base (circa 1962). It's possible that the shell actually says 1965 or that the base does not technically belong to the shell. It came from the estate of the original owner. The chair is comprised of a fiberglass shell seat in orange atop a cast aluminum tilt swivel base. To clarify, it appears that the shell is newer than the base, but both are original Herman Miller pieces.
The 622TA Draftsman stool measures 24.75 inches deep, 25.25 inches wide, and 41 inches high with a seat height of 27.25. Some minor wear can be seen on the stool from previous use, but overall it is in very good to excellent condition. Please see photos.
