Listed for sale is a gorgeous George Nelson for Herman Miller Rosewood headboard, model 4908. This is a very rare example, which would have been the most expensive option at the time, given that it was specified in Brazilian Rosewood. This example was made in the mid 1950s and was part of the Thin Edge Series. This headboard was acquired from an estate in Boston, Massachusetts. It appears that is was used as a queen bed, as a black frame was added around the perimeter to accommodate for that size. The black frame can be removed to accommodate a full sized bed with the alteration screw holes not being visible. Condition overall is very good to excellent vintage condition. There appears to be a bit of fading on the rosewood, which would be refinished or oiled as to the customer's preference.
