1960s Pair of Ward Bennett for Brickel Associates Bumper Arm Chairs in Ochre Jack Lenor Larsen Plush #6113 Fabric
This is a pair of Bumper Swivel Lounge Chairs, initially designed by Ward Bennett and produced by Brickel Associates in 1964. These chairs date to the 1960s and are all original. The listed price includes the pair of chairs as shown. They have bronzed-steel four-star bases that swivel and their upholstery is an ochre plush velvet by Jack Lenor Larsen, colorway #6113. There are tags affixed underneath the seats that outline this detail. This silhouette is a classic example of Bennett's work during the 1960’s.
Each chair measures 26 inches deep, 27 inches wide, and 32 inches tall. The brushed bronze bases are heavily patinated, and the original upholstery has some discoloration in some spots. The seat cushions remain soft and pliable. Overall, this pair of chairs is in good condition. Please see photos.
