1970s Modernist Sculptural Three Seat Sofa in Orange Fabric
This is a possibly custom Three-Seat Sofa in Dark Orange Hopsack Fabric, dating to the 1970s. It came to us from a home in Ithaca, New York. The silhouette echoes the designs of Pierre Paulin, but there are no tags to indicate the maker. We have three pieces from this collection available for individual purchase. The curved arms juxtaposed with otherwise straight lines makes for a delightful form.
The sofa measures 83.5 inches long, 33.5 inches deep, and 28.5 inches high. It has a seat height of 16.5 inches. The upholstery fabric shows some sun fading and discoloration, and there are some pulls. There is a black scuff on the right-hand side. Overall, this sofa is in good condition. Please see photos.
