1950s Brazilian Rosewood Credenza Cabinet by Henry Rosengren Hansen for Brande Møbelindustri
This is a truly “monumental” Danish credenza, designed by Henry Rosengren Hansen and produced by his company, Brande Møbelindustri. It was handcrafted in Denmark in the 1950s, executed in beautifully bookmatched Brazilian Rosewood. Rosengren Hansen was the owner of Brande Møbelindustri and also manufactured pieces for Kurt Østervig and Hans Olsen. It offers a complete storage solution system, including felted trays for utensils and serving instruments. The piece is quite large in size, yet exudes sophistication thanks to its tapered legs and clean lines.
This piece measures 18.75 inches deep, 94.5 inches wide, and 31.5 inches high. It is in very nice condition, having been properly maintained for the past 70 years. There are some minute scuffs to the surface of the unit, but remains in extremely good condition. Please see photos. There is some wear or a small chip to one of the pulls from use. If desired, we can have our woodworker repair it at no cost prior to shipping.
