1931 COTE D'AZUR Travel Poster, 1931 by Adolphe Jean-Marie Mouron for Danel and Lille Glass, Paper, Wood, Ink
This is a large-scale French Travel Lithograph Poster, designed by Graphic Designer Adolphe Jean-Marie Mouron under his well-known pseudonym “Cassandre”. The piece was printed by Danel and Lille. The ad was promoting the ferry from Callais, France to Dover, England, and evokes the spirit of the Beaux Arts era.
This poster measures 1 inch deep, 25 inches wide, and 39.75 inches high. The piece is in great shape, having been professionally framed years ago. There appears to be a light white blemish on the right edge, and there is some slight sun bleaching on the top left corner. Overall, this poster is in very good condition. Please see photos.
