This is a Brazilian Rosewood Sideboard / Credenza, initially designed by Bodil Kjaer in Denmark in 1959. This example was produced by CI Designs in the USA in the early 1960s. CI Designs was Kjaer’s American production company, while her Danish pieces were produced by E. Pedersen & Son. The piece is a 4-section unit, having drawers and a drop leaf on a steel base. These units were customizable, manufactured according to the specifications of the executives who commissioned them. At the time, the idea of purchasing a “bespoke” piece of furniture was unheard of.

The piece measures 24 inches deep, 67 inches wide, and 28.5 inches high. The locks are all in working order, and we have the keys! The Brazilian Rosewood has been refinished and is in great shape, and there are some light scuffs on the steel base. Overall, this piece is in very good condition. Please see photos.
