This is a set of four Sarapis bar stools, designed by Philippe Starck for his French design firm Aleph Ubik. This design originated in 1986 and the stools were manufactured in Italy by Driade. The frames are steel, including the seat. The word ‘Sarapis’ refers to a Greco-Egyptian deity, and the back of this stool has a decidedly Klismos vibe. The French Industrial designer has been known to give a nod to both Greek & Egyptian conventions in his designs.

The price listed includes all four stools. Each stool measures 42 inches high, 14 inches wide, and 14 inches deep. The stools were produced in two heights. Each of these particular stools has a seat height of 31 inches, making these appropriate for use in a bar-height setting. The stools are in excellent shape, but are vintage and may show signs of wear and use. See photos.
